Looks good ? :shruggy:

Looks bad ?  :shruggy:

Opinions, please... :scratchchin:

Appearance-wise, I don't really have an opinion for or against.

If you want people to constantly ask you "Why do you have rocker trim on your Daytona?", I would not hesitate to install it.

Well, that would just add one question to the huge list I'm going to get about this creation of mine... :scratchchin:

Crossed that "too much" bridge a long time ago. :eek2: :smilielol:

IMHO old mopars need all the brite work you can throw on them,...sill, rocker, wheel opening, etc, etc, etc.

WINGIN IT

Hey I was at that show when you took that pic !
That's John A getting is head sliced off by the double wing  ;D
Love that car Mike.
This is when I had my triple black 71 Cuda Convertible

As for the trim, not my cup of tea, ( and wouldn't want to cover up any of that gorgeous blue paint) , but do what you want , it's your car  :2thumbs:

my opinion, trim yes....I wish I had a set for mine

tan top

not keen on it my self  ,  think unless i was doing a stock OEM type resto & the car was coded for it /them , would leave them off ,  :yesnod:  do look good , although  don't think they are suited to a aero mopar   :Twocents:

I think this will be one of those "Milk crate" decisions...

Goes something like this:

Mock the trim in place on the car with a couple of pieces of tape...

Plop my fat ass down on a milk crate...

Crack open a beer...

Light a cigar...

Stare at the pile of junk until I decide whether or not the trim looks like shit.

Personally, I don't like the rocker trims unless you're going the SE route. That's the one mistake I made on the last Daytona clone. It was a real R/T SE and I should have put the SE emblems on the sail panel and kept the SE trim.

I'm doing right the opposite on my new clone project. No shiny stuff whatsoever. I'm even removing the drip rails and door handles this time. I have never done that to one of my cars and decided that I should do it at least once before I cross over to the other side.

My SE emblems were in bad shape and I didn't realize that they had repros of them so I put the Charger emblems on the sail panels. I had already painted the car by the time I noticed that they made repro emblems.

If you have all the factory holes for the clips yes put them on if not don't put them on. plus the big metal clip is hard to find the plastic ones are available.

I agree also...my 66's have the rocker stainless as stock...I'm so used to seeing it on my 66's that I really think it looks good on the second gen cars as well....if I could find a decent set, I would put them on the Daytona'

Yep.

That's it.

Metro!

I think I got them for a "show special"  of $200 at the time...
