AHL Playoffs

Are there any folks here in AHL cities?

I mentioned in another thread, the Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning took the Eastern Division last weekend and the playoffs started this weekend.  Just wondering if any one else here are fans?

Well after sweeping Portland 3 games to none, the Crunch moved on to the semi-finals.
Tonight they completed a sweep of the Springfield Falcons to move to the finals.  
It will either be Providence or Wilkes Barre-Scranton.
In the West, Toronto is struggling with GrandRapids and OKC has won their second round.

I see the Griffins knocked the Marlies out, so it's Grand Rapids vs OKC and the Crunch are waiting the winner of the Bruins/Pens game tonight!

Well the Crunch defeated the WBS Penguins 7-0 and 4 games to 1 to clinch the Eastern Conference Championship last night.
Now on the the winner of the West, either Grand Rapids or OKC.
4 more games to the Calder Cup!

Well, we spent some of the evening with Tanner last night. What a nice guy.
FYI, the Crunch has a "Holiday" party for season ticket holders each year where we get to mingle with the team/players and have some holiday food and toddies.  Always a fun time and over the years I've got some great pics of us with some (now) NHL players.
Anyway, Martha and me with Tanner Richard (pronounced Ra-shard).  And he is having a great seaon btw.

yep. a bit far to travel. i really like the other leagues. we have the blues here, but whenever the college tournaments come to st. louis, we are there.
