When your kids see you naked

A question for the parents out there.  How old were your kids before you wrapped a towel around your hairy butt to go from the bathroom to the bedroom?

Let me re-phase this a little better.  At what age did you quit letting you kids see you naked so you did not scare them for ever.

It Depends on who you're asking.  My wife Mrs skip seems to not care as much as I do.  I think once my kids were past the terrible two's and could talk in stare that was it for me.    I have to ask why.    Something Awkward happened?

No, nothing happened. Our daughter likes to follow me or my wife around like kids do.  Sometimes she will open the bedroom door when I am getting dressed.  She thinks nothing of it and if I yell it hurts her feelings, she does not understand yet. 

They had this topic on local talk radio last week and it got me thinking, what age is the cut off. Thats all.

I put a keyed lock on your bedroom door and I'm about to put a lock on our master bathroom door.   I feel your pain.   My daughter who is ten years old thinks she can always go in mom's (our) bathroom and will just walk right in.   She likes to use mom's makeup.   She has her own bathroom so it's starting to get under my skin.     Dang frickin kids.       This is a great subject because EVERY father has had this same question and issue.   It's funny but it seems like the mom's don't mind as much.    Just funny.

Never made a big issue out of it.  Its just a naked body and why make the kid feel there is something wrong with it. Unless there was something freaky about your body that was abnormal or your own mindset skewed, I wouldn't think it was a big deal. If I left the door open and they walked in the bedroom while I was dressing I just turned around or put on clothes and asked what they wanted.  If a question came up about 'why something was different" it was answered as simple as possible whether it was me or the wife.  As some age varying on maturity they're going to decide on their own they don't want to see you naked like as in     They were made clear though early to respect privacy and that if a door was closed not to come in but knock and speak their need. I hated it when I was on the throne and they came in wanting to know what I was doing or tell me "That sure does stink"    I think around 4yrs old I made a good effort not to parade around naked in the house with them present.  Kids will innocently say the most embarrassing things to other people sometimes about describing your body.  On the flip side, how about the nudist / naturalist community?  Do you think it's a big deal with them either?  2 daughters now 27 and one son 30 and neither scared for life

For my sister-in-law it was when her 8-year old daughter, seeing her get out of the shower, told her, in all seriousness, "Mom, you look better with your clothes on." 

She locks the door now.

I want to say by two with the first kid ended it all. The oldest also had a knack for disturbing the wife and me trying to make number 2 and 3. The funniest time was 3 am we didn't here her come out of her room or open our door. Next thing we know is I got smacked on the back side as she yelled out "that's my mom" we started locking the door after that.

My 5 year old still sees me naked (keep it to rear nudity) she say's It's nasty hairy butt!!!

when my now 36 year old daughter was 2 she walked into the bathroom while i was standing at the toilet. needless to say i couldnt just stop. she said, "whats that?" i said  "thats my business, now leave the bathroom and close the door."  from then on, she would call hers "her business"
