:scared:   scary , for the guy with the camera , should of known better though , every one is pumped up , at a quick glance that camera could of easily been miss interpreted as  a sniper site or a range finder thingy ,

MP was probably just using the scope on his rifle to get a better view of the second floor windows as they canvassed the streets

That is exactly what they do.....use the scope for magnified viewing.   :yesnod:

The M4 is just a fancy holder....that can kill things if need be. :icon_smile_big:

I'm thinking it may have had a bit more meaning than: I SPY A ,,,,,,,, !

I don't think these special groups like any camera's on them period.

Reminds me of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the two snipers were peering at each other through their scopes.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Not to turn this political (if possible) but were these guys actually just walking though people's houses without permission or warrants?

They were nice about it and asked, but really you had no real choice to say no. There is a thing called Probable Cause that would allow the police to search a home if they believed a suspect might be inside (you saying no could give them the probable cause that you might be hiding something/him). Then Boston was also put under something almost like Martial Law. There were no need for warrants when your own Governor enacts Martial Law....  :shruggy:

I'm seen more then one film clip where they were not polite at all.

Very disturbing. Very little mention in the media. Kinda strange, I actually miss the way the media covered the government during the years 2001-2008. I think it was healthy and, very critical to challenge what government at all levels do, instead of seeming to just accept.......and in some cases to almost promote......

Did you see the story about them parking three bomb robots on top of some 60 year old dude because his Ipod looked like a detonator? They used the robots to pin him to the ground and search him...  I would have been PISSED, and probably would have gotten my self shot before I let someone do that to me.

Just not right.
JUNKTRAVELER: all I've seen in this thread is a bunch of bullies and 3 guys that actually give a crap.

Civil rights have been disappearing for years because people are told they want to be safe.  ::)

I did, but for some reason it's no longer showing up in searches and stuff. The only thing left I can find on it is a picture.

I can only find two references to that event. Reddit and AR15.com, and the only info in either of those is what was supposedly heard of a police scanner.  :shruggy:

Yeah...     that robot wouldnt have gotten my clothes off ---   I'm all for public safety but come on...    they would NOT search my house and NOT search me...       and if they shot me...   well...     most NG MPs I've met can barely hit paper at 50yds. so I doubt I'd be in any real danger.
