I used a 4g wire.  I don't have a fusible link or fuse in there, but I should.   If you look around, you can find a fuse holder for those really big blade type fuses.  although I don't have that main wire fused, I do have the feeds that power the relays for the fan and fuel pump fused.

Ok, I think I did good on this one...$25 for a 4k mile alternator.  Probably the 90a, but that's ok for me.

What do you guys think?

I'm running a stock Mopar alternator from lates 70s... the ones that are completely "sealed" ( stator center not visble from exterior, and everything is hooked as original including amm. Just run parallel wires to the original harness from alt to amm and from amm to starter relay stud, with 8 gauge wires and 14 fussible link, throught firewall with a grommet. I'm very happy with it. Chargers from iddle and I got an almost instant complete charge from start moment.

I'm not sure about the max load about this alt... maybe 70-80 range. works perfect also with A/C and halogen beams. Only notice difference with max blower speed and press gas pedal when ammeter needle moves to charge, but even in that way, needle still keeps mostly in center at iddle.

talking about parallel wiring.. is not me... MaMopar already had that option with cars with tow package ( more than 60 amperes alt )
just track wires with black and red arrows

even better because you got the connector and plastic shield.  this alt sits close to the block so it really helps.  if you're careful, you can seperate the connector off the stock wire and then put your wires in and re solder and use heat shrink.  then use the included connnector cover and you are golden.
