Of all the offers I've had for my 69, the serious buyers don't seem to have any issues offering $25K for it, and it's not nearly as nice as that one so I don't think it's all that weird.

I agree.  I would not take a cent less than $28 for mine, but mine is nicer than the E-Bay car. . . . just sayin.  ;) :icon_smile_big:

I like when cars that look like exactly how mine will look go for big money.   It makes me cringe less at the fact that I could have bought one exactly like I want it for 15K less than I will have in mine.   Then again, I'll be going 440/6 just for shits n gigs so I suppose that makes SOME difference and will help me sleep at night/enjoy beers while staring at it

WTH???  listing was ended early by seller?  And it was up to $32K.... that's weird.

Probably got contacted by someone who wants to show up with a couple stacks of 100's.  No worry about being outbid at the last second, and the seller can avoid the eBay fees, the bank records for the deposit (no IRS problems), etc.. It's at $32K, take it and run.

bzabodyn

Yup - I called a guy on a nice '68 body, motor/tranny, no interior, etc and was winning the bid yesterday at 5500 or so then got a notification my bid was cancelled - I was like WTF?

Called the guy and he told me someone showed up that morning with $13k cash and he had a reserve of like $9k on it (I wouldn't have paid but $7500-8000). He was surprised and had to take the money, don't blame him.

Theres no denying it, there are people out there who would honest to god Kill for these cars.

lloyd3

Interesting. I went to highschool in this town. No clues as to the owner's name in the advert and I've been gone so long I don't recognise the car. Don't recognise the background either, but I see it's on a dirt road. Rust is always a problem there if driven any time other than Summer & early Fall.

Small world.
