What type of steering wheel are you using, factory original, aftermarket??? Anyone have the Tuff wheel from Grant? Need some ideas for my 71

Hey Tom, I think you and I were programmed in the same factory on the same day, no less.

The large one is a pull switch for the priming pump and the other is a light........ lets me know my brake switch is working.  I'd hate to think if I get rear ended, it was my fault because my brake lights weren't working. This way I can be assured they are.

I have the grant woodgrain tuff wheel in my 69, I think it looks good and I love it!

I like the Lecarra wheel it looks like it belongs in a Mopar, definitely in the running. I may go with the Year One knock off of the Tuff wheel just never seen one in person.

Fred, do all 68's have the vent handle on the right of the steering wheel?  I didn't have A/C in my 68 but do in the 69 and the vent handle is on the left.

I'm not Fred, and I don't have a/c, but my 69 was built in 68 and it's on the right as well.

I'm not Fred, and I don't have a/c, but my 69 was built in 68 and it's on the right as well.

That's interesting.  Mine's a late build, June I think.

I did try to move mine to the left of the column because I wanted to use that space for some other gauges but it wouldn't budge, I could see it was made to be on the right side so I left well enough alone.

If the '69 cable is shorter than the '68, it should fit okay. I'll look into it.

I had one of these wooden Grant wheels in the past and really like the way they feel in your hand...

I have thought before about trying to mate a 15" Grant wooden rim to the spokes & center of a stock Mopar rally wheel.  
         
                                                         
It wouldn't be as easy as it looks though.  The upper two spokes of the Grant wheel don't meet the rim in quite the same places (what time o'clock) as the Mopar ones do.
