One thing made me laugh when I left my car to the workshop : she's among Renault 5 alpine, turbo I and II. And they look ridiculous near the Charger! :D

Unfortunately those little buggers may actually leave the Charger behind.

I drove an Alpine (not the 5, the fast looking thing) decades ago and it was a very impressive car.  A few years back I drove a Delorean which has the same engine block and it was ridiculously slow.  I'm not sure what Renault did to theirs but dayum!

Any DS's in that shop?  Love those things.

There is no doubt that these little bombs leave me behind.
They're lighter and the turbo II of my friend shows 300hp!

One of my friends own a DS, I can take a photo next time I'll see him if you want.

Only if it's absolutely no trouble, I've worked and drove several back in Europe.  I don't think I've ever been in a more comfy ride than a Citroen, although these old US barges are not too shabby either.   :icon_smile_big:

300 horses in a tin can, that's a whole lotta fun!   :icon_smile_big:

I didn't expect that much from the body workshop.
I left them my car this monday, and guess what I saw when I came to make a visit tonight :

Oh, a beautiful tin welding !

I think that I'll never thank enough the previous owner for all the work he already did.

By the way, someone can tell me the distances of the rear stripe?
And the distances I have to put the "Charger" logo on the C pillars?

I can't see them.   :shruggy:

Now I can, beautiful work.

PtitRaisin

This morning I found some Duke's farm grass under the rear bench

Some body work :

Without the front, she's less impressive !

Nevertheless, she remains very beautiful.

I found the answer for the rear stripe here : http://www.69hemi.com/bodypaint.html
It just have to be centered with the side marker.

And for the Charger emblem, it's here : http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,49916.0.html

The pictures would not open at first, they are now. Beautiful workmanship.   :drool5:

I will drill the holes to put the Charger emblem on the side.
But I have different sizes of logos.

I need to be sure because the distance between the holes will not be the same.

Someone can tell me?

Regarding the link I found on YearOne :
https://www.yearone.com/Product/1966-74-a-b-e-body/p2841886

I think it's the smaller one.

The radiator was a little rusty, and it wouldn't match with a beautiful fresh repaint body.

So I decided to unmount it

What a beautiful engine.

After some hours of spinning metallic brushes work :

It's better, isn't it?

Tomorrow --> new black anti-rust paint.

Its funny, in the morning the pictures work, but in the afternoon they don't... at least for e they aren't  :scratchchin:

PtitRaisin

Yeah it's strange.
When you put photos on the forum, you use the forum uploader?

I copy my links from a French forum, maybe it doesn't work every time...
Quentin

Baldwinvette77

Yes i do , just make sure they are roughly 800 x 600 or less, and have a unique name, then they should work  :yesnod:

Tonight was not working on the car but tidying up the garage.

Even unmounted, she takes a lot of place !

I realized that I'll have to find some drawings or explanations for remounting.
There are a lot of little parts, I a bit afraid because it's not me who did the dismantling.

I've got a question about the choice of the black paint :

I'd like to paint the tail lights area in black, but I don't know if the stock configuration was gloss or satin.

Same question for my dashpad. I'd like to paint the steel frame black but I don't know the paint finishing.

Hello

There are some news of my Charger :

What a beautiful sexy shape !

These times, I'm gathering the parts here and there in the garage to assemble the puzzle.
I sand parts one by one before paint them. The final result should be quite good :)

But I don't know very well where are going all the parts. This is the rear window system, isn't it?

And this one, the front one?

But this, I don't know what is it ! Power windows?
