Anyone blaming it on anything right now is talking out of their ass.

AFAIK they have no leads, no suspects, and no causes.

You're right.  No point yet but can't help thinking of why.  They only show the people hurt at the first bomb, was anybody hurt at the second?   I don't think they've showed anything at that spot.

Quote from the news...

WBZ-TV reported late Monday that law enforcement officers were searching an apartment in the Boston suburb of Revere. Massachusetts State Police confirmed that a search warrant related to the investigation into the explosions was served Monday night in Revere but provided no further details.

I called it in another thread saying "I fear this will get ALOT worse, before it gets any better"....Well, here we go.....

Sorry for yet another tragedy. People are Walking time bombs today. I wonder if this has anything to do with the finacial state the country is in?

I mean, afterall, if this POS lost his/her/it's job he was at for say over 35 Years, to "Economic downsizing", I guess it figures it'll have 3 hots and a cot in prison? Something that was taken away from him/her/it on the outside? I dunno......

We go in every year for the ballgame and then watch runners run through Kenmore (mile 25).

The scene in Kenmore SQ was chaotic. We were heading to the car which was parked just on the other side of Kenmore on Commonwealth.

Since the runners are coming through, the only way to get over there is to go through the T station which runs under Kenmore SQ and come out the other side. They closed the entrance to the T just as we got to the door.

We had no idea what was going on and just assumed there was some sort of mechanical issue with the trains. Someone mentioned an explosion but again, everyone thought it was a train incident. As we started walking, the police presence and Natl guard appeared everywhere.

We finally were able to cross over on Beacon about a 1/2 mi west from Kenmore just before multiple emergency vehicles and police drove through the runners toward Kenmore. People were being told to get off the street, runners who had finished the race were walking back in tears. Even when we got back to the car, there were many people in Kenmore cheering on runners who seemed to have no idea what was happening.

Thankfully, we drive in every year because it's so easy to get in and out, contrary to what you might think for this day. The police at the Fenway T station said that the trains were running outbound but if we had taken the train in, we would've most likely had to walk to North Station, and who knows what route we'd have to take to get there, and hope for a train out.

A sad day for Boston and for humanity.

This is why, unfortunately in this day-n-age, EVERYONE is, as we say in the military, an observer.. We ALL have to look out for each other and abnormal things. We can still continue with our lives, but we just have to keep our eyes looking more........ The police and military in the area can't do it all by themselves.............

Jerks will not win.......  Terror is their ONLY weapon..........

If we would just ban bombs all this would stop and we could live in peace and have no worries!

How are you gonna ban bombs? I mean really? Some coocoo in his garage building bombs with schematics he got off google! It just cant be done, a weapon can be made out of ANYTHING! Think about prisoners whom file down toothbrushes just so they can "shank" another inmate in the yard! If someone wants to hurt others, unfortunatly there will always be ways to do it! ;(

It's hard to even watch the news right now because they all keep rehashing the same info. Some of the speculation is pure BS. CNN last night had several jack asses including Wolf Biltzer who speculated that this could be the work of right wing extremists.
It is rather ironic that they had a moment of silence for the Sandy Hook victims and several of the families were seated in the stands across from the first blast.
I'm sure the cowards who did this are loving all the Media coverage.

So....we give them 24/7......

Does that not reward them?

When are we going to wake up and realize we are giving them what they want?

Todd was being sarcastic. Timothy McVeigh killed 160 people including 20 children with a bomb made from kerosene and fertilizer. The point is people kill people, always have, always will.

Wolf is a complete idiot!!! On another note, my friend who ran in the marathon last year said the last mile was also dedicated to Sandy Hook victims and families. Add insult to injury.  :rotz:

I hope they find the person/people responsible.... Take them to a bunker in the middle of nowhere... Chain them to a table in a room with 3 large duffle bags which have timers ticking inside.... No bombs, just timers ticking away for hours ....and then start removing limbs like the poor victims.....     :flame:

My family and I are sending our prayers and thoughts of sorrow.  I am sure everybody might have some one from their home town that participated in the Boston Marathon in some way.  What a horrible act to commit on such innocent soles friends family and neighbors   Robert

That's the problem with most of us today, (or at least the younger generation) they're no longer observant. They don't look left or right or even straight ahead. They are so focused on themselves instead of what's going on around them. They see nothing, they hear nothing.
Take those earplugs out of your ears and hear, stop staring at your mobile phone and see. Look around you and see what's happening. You'll be amazed at what you're missing.

I hope the people of Boston can recover quickly from this, it's a great city. I hope the victims can heal and morn for those lost. I look forward to those responsible being brought to justice.

So far there is about 5 minutes of reportable news. The media has stretched this 30 + hours so far, scouring the area for people they can interview using lots of scary adjectives like deadly, explosive and terrifying. Unfortunately this fans the flames of the Terrifying Terrorist.

On the good side there is a whole army people including Bostons Finest, BFD, FBI, Nation Guard and many private citizens who would gladly chase these Terrifying Terrorist the far corners of the world to bring them to Justice..
