Yep, I found this one and its been sitting outside since summer. Last registration is April 1985. It's a SE and believe to be a 400 4spd car. Couldn't see the VIN Clearly. Left a note a week and no calls. Oh well, I tried haha.

Heck, that close to the road, just sneak up in the middle of the night with a trailer and pull it up :D

:iagree: Midnight auto! :boogie:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well here's the thing about it. The guy has a two car garage but, this thing sits out. Maybe he's saving it but, I think if he's gonna save it; it should go inside the garage. It's been sitting there for a while. Don't know how the underside is or anything but, at least at this point its still saveable.

my69

Well maybe like some people out there;   I am be considered to be one  ::) to have the garage alittle to much other stuff and not have any room for anything else :rotz:

But a person never knows for sure.

Darkness

His garage isn't full on the one side because I drove by one day and it was open. You could put it in there.

It's sad when a good Charger gets put out to pasture, maybe you should leave a real BIG not on it, sos to get the neglectful owner's attention.

bull

Keep trying. You've got to get to know the guy and soften him up.

Daytona R/T SE

DAMN !  That's a four speed!  I'd be all over that one!  Here's a tip...one note usually won't do it, put a note on the car, the house, any vehicle sitting outside that looks like it's being driven, and one in the mailbox.  Knock on the neighor's door, too, I've had it happen before that the neighbor just happens to be related to the guy that owns the car, and would be happy to give him a message....

Oh and before you do any of this, make sure you have the cash in hand and a way to move the car...NOBODY likes pennyless dreamers bothering them :flame:

P.S.  If you don't want it, I DO !

Put the car on a trailer, take it home and see if he calls the next day then! That will get his attention.

I wouldn't do that, as that can get you some pin striped suites if you know what I mean.  I have actually seen people try this tactic with field cars and they did end up behind bars (called grand theft auto).  If I found someone messing with my cars, them getting caught by the law first would be a good thing.........

Well, I would never do anything like that because its the same thing as stealing and besides that I don't know if this guy has any plans for it. Besides that I'm not going to bug the heck out of him but, I'll try him back in a few months and talk with him. All I did was take pictures and nothing more. Most the body is decent on the car except for the quarters. It got hit lightly on the right side but, they wouldn't stop from making it a driver while fix up car so it's light. Now the bottom side is a different story probably but, can't tell a whole lot as far as the frame rails and floor pans go.

It's a 72 SE. I think it's a 400 Big Block with a 4 spd. It has hideaway headlights, 150 mph speedometer and tach, and A/C I believe.

I wouldn't give up on it just yet.  Any way of tracing that old registration?  If there is a garage is there an address?  Are there neighbors?  There has to be a way to find out who owns it.

73chargers4404

its a bad fact of life .my dad bought a 73 and he wasnt very keen on shopping around ,the car had rust on the roof to the point you could punch through it .there wasnt any rocker panels lift .floor was gone ,quarters ,and if that wasnt bad enough the dumb prick he bought it off of had a 69 super bee right beside it not in as bad shape but on its was. :'( :'(

I had to put my comment so that the nubies and lurkers don't get the idea that "So that's how they got their cars, I think I will try it".  I was hoping that you were joking, so if I was rude, then I am sorry.......

Do you have money to flash the guy if he bites?

BTW, I was joking earlier with my midnight auto post...I'd be PISSED if someone hooked onto one of my projects & took it away. :flame:

I don't have the money yet. But, if I get something out of a settlement I will have some money.

I would love to have that car.  Just tell me where it is and I'll take it away from him. :icon_smile_big:

I did some car searching this past weekend.  I went to MA to pick up a 72 440 Rallye to restore.  I also looked at a 74 SE with factory sunroof.  It was Rough!

89vert4x4....If it falls through, would love a shot at it.
