So I am supposed to pick up the Charger from storage tomorrow. However winter seems to enjoy pissing in my Wheaties and the 2" of sleet and freezing rain has brought the salt trucks back out.  If I don't pick her up tomorrow its May 4th. I know if I leave it in it will be 70 deg for the next 2 weeks.   :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

It's supposed to be 50 and raining tomorrow. So what's an enthusiast supposed to do? Should I just take a dose of fukittol OTC and pick her up and spend an hr under her with a hose or do I torture myself for 2 more weeks?

I feel it....weather has messed with me for 16 months! As I hammer/chip away trying to get paint on my car I think of you guys with "done" cars and have new insight into not messing up all that work.  :2thumbs:

Mother Nature is a bitch!  :'(.  It's crazy to think we had 42" of snow a few weeks ago....   :brickwall:
With the new chemical they are putting on the roads i'd wait and let the rain wash it away.  I've seen the damage done to trucks, and with all the hard work on our cars I'd keep them away from this added crap!
Of course it didn't help having 70s the other day too!    :slap:

Keep busy and plan a party drive in a few weeks... Pretend your day to pick up for tomorrow never existed....
Then I'd like some more pictures of your car!!  :2thumbs:

How far do you have to drive it?
I'd probably get it out- pick it up as late as you can, and hope the rain has washed some of the recent crap off the roads!

Yes, most municipalities do. Here in the north east it is used quite a bit.

We don't get it that bad but maybe once or twice a year. Yesterday's dose was light because they new it would all melt today.

We really do not have cold, snowy or winter-mix winters down here (SE Texas) but, when we have the rare sub-freezing winter mix, the county sprays the overpasses with a chemical designed to keep them from having liquids freeze on them. They never use salt on the roads down here anymore. Mid-April is Wayyyy too late in the year for us to have freezing precip here.

I doubt there is any problem with the roads at any time of the year for our older classics down here. Organized shows usually shut down here from Nov thru mid-March but casual shows are year-round.
