I'm not completely positive but I believe this one is a Warhawk, a P-40 in the partial paint scheme of the American Volunteer Group, better known as the "Flying Tigers." They flew for the Nationalist Chinese against the Japanese before the US was officially in WWII. It seems that they used this P-40 as a canvas for some various common markings because they didn't try to compleletly replicate the AVG markings. If they did it would have had the Nationalist Chinese markings instead of the RAF scheme. This plane is at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa Idaho.

looks to be painted to replicate the kittyhawks flown by RAF/RAAF over Burma  etc
