Well gang it's awful no doubt and I pray for the victims but........for all the anti-gun asshats. There was a mass stabbing in Texas today. Mass stabbing. 14 some odd people were injured. Sure as hell didn't require an assault rifle to do it either. If some fruit loop is bent on hurting/killing a bunch of folks, it can be done with a lot of different weapons.

They have the purp.....too bad he didn't try to run. Get my meaning?

There are obviously exceptions, but my fear is that they occur at schools. I can see if it's in a bar. Or out in the street...but in school? I certainly find that disturbing. For someone young to believe in taking out their fellows. People are snapping, and snapping much younger and more often.

I blame the judicial system.  People no longer see the consequences of their actions until it's too late.  There is nothing for others to learn from.  While seeing someone hanging from a tree might be disgusting, at least you seen how you'd end up if you committed a crime.

Of course, I have some common sense, so I know entirely what can happen if I done something wrong.

Too bad stuff like this does happen :icon_smile_dissapprove:

I just wonder what the PC croud thought was gonna happen when the economy goes in the toilet, people are ticking time bombs right now. Many are losing their jobs at alarming rates, many feel we have a dictatorship in the Whitehouse, and they expect the kids to react with Common sense? WTF???

This is gonna get ALOT worse before the Anti-gun, PC, No personal responsibility, Anti-Capitol punishment croud wakes up to reality.
I called this sh*t long before "Bullying" became a popular subtitle in the schools today. WAY back around 1987. I think I remember telling one of my CLOSE teachers who I thought of as a father figure, that "How many kids have to do violence to get the point across that F8ckin' with someone isn't the smartest thing to do?"
He replied: "Until it becomes front page, ......nobody cares."

Well folks, These types have figured out they can actually change the countries laws by killing a bunch of people. Dare I say it has caused them to believe they are doing something Right in a twisted way?
These types have figured out that they will have NO FUTURE. Why obey a law when the Leaders don't have to?, when all the while they are seeing people at jobs for over 40 years losing their homes, jobs, and lives sometimes that Did everything "right". What's the incentive for these types to stop if they have already figured out that they can be "Famous" for 15 min.?   Just sorry for the victims that had to pay the price for all this sh*t.

After the human excrement shot up the Cinema in Colorado, one of the victims Fathers was being interviewed by Anderson Cooper.  I can't imagine how difficult it was for this Parent to speak so soon after the tragedy, but his comments where spot on. He told Cooper that the news media's frenzy and constant plastering of the perpetrators picture and personal info, was a big part of the problem. Some people don't differentiate between famous and infamous.  Cooper back peddled and the interview was over shortly there after.

Most of us went to work, paid our bills ,helped family and friends today but of course we where not on the news for that. Maybe we should be. Positive reinforcement for a change.

I don't want to know who this person is, I just want to know that he was caught, tried and punished.

My mother works in a prison here in Indiana (accounting office) and she tells me what these scumbags get in prison. I knew they got internet access, schooling, rec, 3 meals a day. But she also told me they had video games (Xbox360,PS3)!! :o WTF!!? And several times a year they get KFC, Pizza Hut, etc. brought in to the Prison! and one guy was murdered because he did not give his KFC to another inmate!! Pure INSANITY!!! take em' out front and hang all the murderers and child molesters. Then if someone comes in for theft start cutting hands off and send em' back out the door. And the hangings all happen out front where ALL THE PUBLIC CAN SEE!!!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I read this yesterday & it was said that the nutjob used an "exacto knife" according to a witness. First thing I thought of was that aside from being nuts, this person is also an idiot. Yeah, a 1" long hobby knife, that'll work.

Now I am not anti-gun but the big difference in this case is that the 14 victims were wounded & not killed. I'm sure if there was a gun, even an old black powder & musket ball one there would be at least one person dead.

The gun/anti-gun argument will always be another distraction in telling the public what is the most important thing to worry about while politicians, media, banksters & corporations continue to put our money in off shore tax havens.

I agree, the "exacto knife" is a weapon of choice for most of these nut jobs. They don't actually stab you, they slice you.

Old Moparz

I'd still rather have a nutjob come at me with an "Exacto Knife" instead of a gun.

I agree.  If he had a gun it would be worse.  Just like if he had a bomb or plane to crash into the school it would be worse.  We need to stop these idiots before the pick up any weapon or tool that can cause harm.   The signs are there with most these nut jobs, we just need to start acting on them sooner.   :Twocents:

That's the real problem...we have restrictions in place...if doctors judges, local law enforcement and parents would do what they are supposed to none of these nut jobs would have be able to commit the crimes they did.....quit blaming the gun...or the knife...or airplane what ever.....these happen because laws aren't enforced or parents turn a blind eye to the obvious.....

Psychiatric patients that are violent, & those that should be patients, will cost taxpayers money to diagnose, house, treat & care for. There used to be many facilities that did this, but little by little the budgets for these places dwindled because it was decided there are better things to spend money on, or just not spend money at all. The budget problem was solved by letting them out on the street to blend into society & fend for themselves. (That worked quite well.) Now it's obvious that there is a small epidemic of these violent whackoloons that are trying to out do one another with how many they can kill.

The reality is it can't be fixed, but I bet the violence could be decreased if there was a treatment plan & a budget for it.

Bullying is a Frankenstein monster, as you never know what will end up happening to both the bully or the target.  Case in point:  I originally got into science as a means to protect myself from bullies in junior high school and then it lead to a career in something that I love.  I won't give away most of my secrets, but I was a master with toxic substances, as I had the resources that a 11 year old kid should never have.  I only used it against others once (a natural toxin from certain plants that I have mentioned about before) and I decided that it was not needed to get the point across further with them.  Since then, I have been promoting science for the achievement of humanity in my area of chemistry.  Granted, I had a much different mindset than most people, as they would have used guns, knives, etc. to get revenge.  Not everyone can take negative and turn it into something positive when the chips are down....

Chad, you seem to be a very smart man with good rational thought.   Now go buy yourself a gun.    :nana:  just playin.    There will always be Wars always be fights always be murders.   There always has been and always will be.   I remember a story from about 100 years ago of a nut job that killed 6 children with an axe.  AN AXE!    That's not even a weapon.   A sick mind will use anything available to inflict anger and pain.   That's a fact you can take to the bank my friends.

Thank you, Skip.  It is a curse sometimes, as I still have a creative side that is always tinkering about things (both good and evil) combined with my analytical side.  It just happens when I least expect it.   I struggled with the why it happens for some time, until I realized it is part of human nature to want to destroy each other in some fashion.  I was concentrated on the bad ones when I was growing up, but that was me using revenge as a fuel for motivation in my mind.  As time passed, so did the thirst for revenge on those bullies, but it left a mark that I still occationally see.  One thing I have learned is that you can not just unthink an idea that you create, especially a very evil one. You may forget it for some time, but it will always be there when you least expect it, nor want to think about it, it is still there.  On a side note, I did find a partial way around this: I have discovered that I can code those type of ideas in my head using a series of songs, so that they will only be fully remembered with those keys in place when I need them.  Wierd how a mind can work....

While working on the Charger the other day I was thinking about the decline of morality in the US. Other than a few issues (one that Lincoln dealt with) I traced the decline to the results of our efforts in WWII. Men left to fight, women left home to work in the factories, all of which was essential to victory but it should have gone back to the way it was before. Divorce rates spiked after the war after staying reletively flat between 1916 and 1940. Prices began to adjust to two-income families, further making it difficult for mothers to stay home. Divorce rates began climbing, which most experts agree is very hard on children. Those children got married and perpetuated the decline into the 60s when the hippie movement began and really screwed things up. Now a huge number of people don't want to even bother with creating a stable family environment. Too many people only care about themselves today. They don't cate that the national debt is $16.8 trillion as long as they get their welfare check. They don't care about the demise of others as long as they get what they think they're entitled to. Rich or poor, scum is scum. There is no cause greater than what I want right now, basically is how the ideology goes. Man has become his own God.
