440 Basic proven build specs and questions??

So I dropped the 440 off at the machine shop. Turns out my "solid bottom end 440" isnt so solid.... :flame: The last crank journal has some really deep scratches from a destroyed main bearing(The rest of the bearings were perfectly fine/usable). You can still see the cross hatching in the block so something went wrong with the oiling I'm guessing.

Anyway. The pistons are .020 in the hole and we are going to throw new cam bearings/rings/main bearings and re grind the crank to get it back into operation.

What's your thoughts on a crank regrind? Its a 73-75 block and I assume stock crank.
