Two weeks ago yesterday, March 24th, a co-worker lost her dad to Cancer. He found out about it 3 weeks prior and went down fast. Turns out it had to do with agent orange from the viet nam war. I had known her dad and even his mom and dad my whole life.

Anyway, Her husband is on temporary disability with some shoulder problem. He'll be off work for another 8 weeks and they have been depending on their 17 year old son for chores and to keep the farm going.

Fast forward to yesterday, two weeks from the day she lost her dad, and her 17 year old son was out chisel plowing. His other grandfather was on another part of the farm working down ground and hadn't seen him come around the field and went to take a look. I don't know how it happened but the tractor he was running ended up climbing a tree and went over backwards on top of him killing him instantly.

He had just got his drivers license this last Friday and was wanting to stay home after graduation and work the family farm. Good Christian family and well liked across the community, they've sure had their problems the last month or so though. If you can just take a moment and say a little prayer for her and her family it would be appreciated.

Good Lord!  Sometimes you just cannot catch a break. This must be a terrible weight on her shoulders now. My prayers are going out to this family!

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Sending my prayers and thoughts.  What a horrible thing to happen to a fine family, a great man that served his country and a young man starting to live
