440- 81/4 rearend

anyone running a 81/4 rearend with a 440, just wondering how it performs? i'm hoping it can handle the torque until i get a better rearend. what do u guys think is the best setup for a slightly better than stock 440 considering price and availability??

Mopar always over engineered their rears. With that said your stock 8.25 will be ok for a driver, just don't beat on it. Find a good 8.75 and enjoy.

There was one in my car for years and it held up fine but I did just change it for a 9 1/4 sure grip for minimal $$$$
