727 shifter linkage HELP

alright a year later im almost ready to start up my 1973 charger with a 440-727 (originally a 318-904 car) except the shifter linkage is giving me issues. i took the old brackets off the 904 and put them on the 727, except the 2 brackets attatched to the valve body. can ANYONE help me out here. id appreciate it alot. and no i really dont want a floor shifter, dont wanna cut up my column shift car
