Ok, something changed when I reinstalled my instrument cluster. Standard 1968 R/T dash. Only 0-30mph lights up now.
I have a bulb behind that area which I will call lower right as you look at the back of the cluster.
I have the one for the bright light indicator (red dot)
I have a third which I put just right of the bright light indicator and that is it. This bulb is number 1895. It seems to work as you put it in its hole but maybe it loses ground when seated all the way in? Is the bulb the right number? Is there a third bulb for lower left (I don't see a hole).

I know this should be a no brainer but I have about had it crawling under the dash trying to straighten this out.

The bulb that illuminates the other side of the speedometer is right above the voltage limiter for the gauges.  It's one of the three bulbs that plug into sockets and then twist into the circuit board.   Use a #194 bulb.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

Thanks much Plum C, that is what I needed to know.

Plum, it must  be different on a 68 or you are mistaken. I replaced the bulb with a 194 like you said (before reinstalling the dash).

I just pulled that light out and it works fine but does not light up the speedo, it is pretty much lights up the fuel gauge.

I am not worthy,

I had pulled the wrong socket. You were correct, I switched a working socket and bulb to that location and the speedo lights up great.

Just need to check the socket and bulb I pulled.
