Ford parts do have to be good for something.

I have an old motorcraft carb that I literally use as a door stop.

Now thats ingenuity  :2thumbs:

also would like to apologize for my messed up photos, was welding and grinding and melted my camera a tad bit, i could buy a new one... or i could put the money towards the car...... yeah, i'll  live with the pixielation for now  :scratchchin:

well, like i said before all my plans change slightly, my plan of using b-body upper control arms met 2 challenges, 1: they were expensive, and 2: im broke, so i  chopped out my shock towers in preparation for some modified mustang 2 hats, and coil-over shock mounts that actually came with the cross member kit  :hack: also found a 9" ford axle housing, was told it was from a Lincoln continental, which means its 64" hub - hub, about 4" wider than it should be, that could be inconvenient  :scratchchin:

still undecided on a suspension, could use leafs (looks cool, should make for lots of powerslides) or i could do a triangulated 4 link (doesnt look as cool, and unfortunately makes the car handle well but involves cuting and welding)

i guess between the mustang front suspension and the continental axle... :) you could call this a  :coolgleamA: Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before I decided to stick with the Dodge platform for my Daytona clone project I was considering using a 2003 Crown Vic with a police package. The beauty of it was that down here you can get a good running car for between 1 and 3 thousand dollars. Nobody wants them and they are a pretty well built full frame car. Dropping a body on one is a whole lot easier than messing with a unibody. Lots of guys are using them for old truck projects.

Also have seen mid 50's Ford truck using Volare front clip with L torsion bars. Nothing but header room under that nose...

i've seen a volare clip sitting in a barn before... dont believe it was for sale, wanted the spindles  :rotz:

Cooter

Must II. LOADS of header room. I have a Ford Maverick and had a 460 BB in it and can change ALL 8 plugs with an extension on the ratchet, in about 30 min.

well, been chipping away at stuff, figuratively and literally, i removed all the useless link mounts from the 9" and made a neat pile of junk thanks to a grinder a cutoff wheel a sawzall, a shot of whiskey and an angler fish  :hack: cant go much further until summit decides to ship all my crap to my house, its been backordered for another 3 weeks, yet i still have to drop 6 days pay just for shipping charges, Eff my life  :rotz:

Baldwinvette77

For all of yous who like pictures of rusted junk here ya go. Old pictures i never posted and im sick of looking at 'em on my desktop

Nothing wrong with taking too many pix, just ask Stu.  It's just a great reminder of all the blood, sweat, and money you put into your project.

Ok, so continued slightly with my front suspension yet again, (also i just found a spider in my hair as i type this, i dont know why im sharing that) anyway, since i dont have my control arms yet i cant really finalize anything yet but i cut the hats down almost to their correct size just to tes fit them, i most likely with need to cut them down even further, but thats way easier than adding to them also i need to confirm their position in relation to the spindle, but... eh, whatever,

Also forgot to mention, i ordered super stock leafs for the rear and related shackles and stuff, i couldn't find b-body shock mounting plates (or whatever they're called) so bought some universal ones for like 40$ so they'll do fine.

Baldwinvette77

looks like it'll take up quite a bit of room... ohwell thats why god gave us cutting tools  :hack:

Theres no reason to be, as long as theres metal to be welded it can be fixed  :smash:
