Thanks guys, Of all my bad ideas, this was by far my least bad  :yesnod:

also just to share, the mesh i used for this new scoop is just the stuff fram or napa use on their air filters, the mesh i used came from those big round ford van filters.... its FREE since people throw it away all the time, so be sure to stock up

Right on.   Very resourceful.    :2thumbs:

You might want to give a little more clearance around your scoop.  Other than that, looks good :2thumbs:

I believe I've said it before Baldwin, this thread is amongst the top build threads ever for this site.   Because of the creativity and resourcefulness that makes this thread something that keeps you watching.   We've all seen the beautiful high dollar full restorations many times but never one quite like this.  It just shows everyone a different way of building a charger without breaking the bank and still have a cool car in the end.      :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Who knows, maybe down the road later in life you might just put the car back to stock.   The option will always be there.

Im liking your interceptor build too, love that body style, if I was a Ford man, that would be my car.

Baldwinvette77

Thanks again guys.

i can't remember what i did since my last update.

But i made exhaust manifold gaskets, stuck the driveshaft in, and completed the main wiring, i know this because while i was testing for what wires were hot, i accidently shorted out the starter solenoid and it rotated the engine 90 degress  :smilielol:

i got a free battery from a honda civic, the negative cable is the positive cable from the charger that i painted black, and the positive cable is a negative cable i got from a truck that i stuck a red tag on, Yep

im pretty excited actually, partly startled cause im a jumpy motherF**ker but also thrilled that what was once a rusty red 68 body now has and electrical system, AND I DIDN'T BLOW A SINGLE FUSE!  :woohoo:

Stevearino

Hard to believe this is the same car that looked like it was used for shotgun target practice when you drug it home. It's come a long way. :2thumbs:

Thanks guys

and oh sweet jesus i hope so, i ordered some brake parts, a fuel pump, cooling.. things and other stuff i've forgot about in hopes i can get it running soon :yesnod:

Also i made a throttle bracket using one from a cordoba the motorhome and a fury

i mounted the gas tank for real, although its really low, i might raise it a bit and run a hose to the chargers gas cap.

and last but not least for 175$ i bought all the glass for a 2nd gen charger.... i only need the windshield, but hey its nice to have spares

now i just need to take inspiration from (steal) Stevearinos windshield channel idea and super glue in place  :coolgleamA:

Thanks man  Cost was always a huge concern, and im always willing to learn and try new things, so why not try? the worst case scenario is you replace it with a store bought part later  :popcrn:
