When did you switch to the 69 tail panel?

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, like... back before i even started the suspension

I stripped the 68 panel, and found it was covered with like 1/2 an inch of bondo hiding Rust and a huge dent, i found this 69 panel for like 50$ if i remember right, then traded the 68 taillights for 69 pieces straight up to the same guy i originally got em from  :yesnod:

Still cant decide if i like the 68 parts or 69 parts better, i just want em both

Any update Baldwin?

Bob

I suppose

So, over the last few weeks i've just been finishing things i've started, welded up the roll cage and painted the bars

replaced the steering wheel with a grant nascar style wheel (looks cool, doesn't smell like vomit)

Did a TON of sanding and filling, fixed the last rust issue.

AND probably the most note worthy, i made a hoodscoop... Now i tried to avoid needing one to the best i can, but i just couldn't run an air cleaner under the stock hood.

so i made this thing.... Funniest thing was, i HATED it with a fiery passion, So i was about the cut it off again, and order a street scoop or some other blower scoop that mounts to the carb.

just as i picked up my cutting wheel, one of my sisters friends came up and asked.. "did you make that"? ... i asked.. "what, the car?" ... She corrected me.. "no that cool looking thing on the hood" i say "yeah.. you iike it?.. Thanks...."

SO THEN, i started a tally and literally every girl i asked, EVEN MY MOM of all people said they all preferred my hackjob scoop over a fake blower scoop, AND EVERY GUY preferred the F&F style blower scoop  :smilielol: Even just people over the internet, i sent them pictures of my car, and cleaner chargers with blower scoops and the same results...  :shruggy:

So logically i kept the hoodscoop, All my friends hate me.. But who cares  :popcrn:

Baldwinvette77

Gonna break my rusty cage....

Baldwinvette77

Probabaly did some other things... But not really major.... OH added a trunk latch i got for free.... OH AND I GOT A STEREO.... FOR FREE!!!!!!!  :woohoo:

..... OH and started painted the floors and sealing things..

Steering wheel and hood scoop looks good.   :2thumbs:

But what's the deal with the roll cage bar under the steering column. Kinda low isn't it? That's right where your knees are supposed to be?  :shruggy:

I fit fine in it  :shruggy: Still more spacious than a mazda 3 ... believe me

Hood scoop looks fine.  Similar style to the 68 Hemicuda hood scoop. :2thumbs:  Dick Landy run a 67 style hood scoop similar to this one on his 68.

It reminds me Stuntman Mike : "Hey, Pam, remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn't a lie. This car is 100% death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat."
