You don't see projects like that one very often, some better pictures would help though if he wants to get anywhere close to $65K
looks fairly solid though, but probably need a lot of missing "stuff". The nose looks kinda hacked up too

The nose is 'glass and is off of my buddy Steve's car.  I forgot he sold it!

It's a VERY early repro nose from like 1980?  He got the original mangled nose with his car, and he straightened it out and installed it.

I'll take that F8 car over ours, though we did pay about 15% of what he's asking.

This a real Daytona or some clone that someone gave up on?

69_500

I would trade my C500 for that Daytona in a heart beat.

I'd say its real...who would make an F8 clone??  :eek2:

I do spy the front wheel lip trim, one fender scoop, the hole on top of the other fender, the front valance, hood pins, A-pillar trim...  :scope:

It's amazing what will still pop up.  I've lived in Az. since 1971 and I never saw this car, never heard about it, nada...From the pictures and the phone number I can tell you it is in the Northern part of the state, possibly in the Flagstaff area (2-3 hours north of Phx.)  They have pine trees and real weather up there.  Years ago there was a Daytona in Flagstaff but my memory said it was more complete than this car, however as we age we all know about that memory thing ::)  Has anybody here contacted the seller?  I could be talked into a road trip to look at it for someone if they're interested.

That's the spare tire.  It'd be nice to see the rear plug, if it's still there :popcrn:  Not worth 65k

So that's where the spare goes, huh? Never thought of that

Engine must go in the other end then I guess

The nose was put together by a high school shop class.  They did the Imron paint job, and cut the huge hole in the bottom, too.  The paint had failed on top, so my buddy painted it and hood black, a la the AFX slot car.

funny.  The 80s were hard on cars.  Oh and sitting outside from 1980 to 1999 does not help either... I am starting not to feel so bad about painting front and back bumpers on a 69 around 1990ish.   :hah:

Looks like it must be still for sale. A member has it listed in the classifieds for a friend.
