69 DAYTONA

...thanx to a fellow member, I now have pictures of my Daytona in all of its different colors

...the car was R4 Red/white stripe when new,

...at some point in time it was painted Plum Crazy and white...these pix are from 1982

...some time in the mid 1980s the car was painted in a Petty theme

...I purchased the Daytona with the red/blue paint job and my dad just loved the car and wanted to be my partner (my dad driving the car inside the local Chrysler Plant)

...today, it is painted the original R4 Red and still has only 9,400 original miles

...it is the first Daytona shipped in the US and has a dealer installed 6-PACK

That is awesome,...It would be neat to have a list of all the previous owners, some of there pics, & stories/adventures of one's car!

Looking around this forum for the past ~ 2 months reminded me that I had a pic of a bird from ~ 84, & that prompted me to post looking for the current owner.

Mine came from the same owner as the above Daytona, was bought new by him, sold three times,he kept buying it back, last time was 1977,kept it until I bought it in 1982.
He liked those different paint schemes, here is what it looked like in 82.

You've got/had some super cool Mopar!!! How long ago did you sell this Challenger? Just wondering, I know of "a" 1st Hemi Challenger and it is the same color.

probably 7-8 years ago, I sold it to Brownie Mascow in Michigan, he has since relocated.....the car was in lots of magazines thru the years(Hot Rod put 5 of my MOPARS in one issue), several magazine covers etc etc, lots of coffee table books....Johnny Lightning used its picture on a toy package several years ago....it has had a lot of publicity since I bought it in 1988....and it still gets a little press from time to time..the car is in the Carolinas now with the same owner I sold it to.......

ps....the 1st HEMICUDA belongs to a friend of mine too, it is also an Indiana car...
