I've been thinking about fixing mine !    :brickwall:

Based on what I've seen recently, that's an easy fix !!!   oppppppssssssssssssss  My Bad......................... :brickwall:

Like I said above, send it to Mike Mancini.  He claims that he restored Tony's fender tag for the white elephant daytona with welding, jb weld, and fiberglass resin.

Al you at least have a good picture of your tag from before it being rusty don't you?

No I don't, what happened was when it got stolen in 74 they got the battery out and the left apron got covered in battery acid. It got rinsed off  and the car didn't run so it sat and rusted. Obviously I have the original tag and it is in delicate condition.

I didn't know that. I have only seen your car 3 times in person Al, and I have yet to have the chance to see it with the hood open. So I don't even think I know what your fender tag reads.

Have met ya a few times. Usually people remember the young guy who is all over the C500's, but thats alright. I am horible with names, but faces I do remember. well and VIN's. I associate people with the VIN's to their cars easier than I can their names.

Hey Brian.......I think you might have another option!  I too can restore a destroyed Fender Tag.  I tried the TIG Welding, JB Weld, Fiberglass, etc....... method and it worked PERFECT!  I will post the pictures of the Before & After Tag for everyone to see.  It was a real eye opener to realize that a rusted, corroded, pitted Fender Tag can be restored to look brand new again.  Stay tuned for the pictures!

Stay tuned for the pictures!

Here are the photos folks!  I had been searching for a vehicle with a Fender Tag that would work for my project.  After I poked around on the car I found no rust whatsoever!  As a matter of fact, body rot was virtually non-existent.  Zero rust...NADA!  Okay, maybe just a little surface rust on the Fender Tag but VERY fixable.  (I think some Mouse urine may have caused the corrosion.)  After some Tig Welding, JB Weld, Fiberglass and Primer........SHAAAZAM!!!  I can hardly believe it myself!  Now EVERYONE can see how a destroyed Fender Tag is actually Restored.  Check out the results below!

NOTE:  PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE CARD IN THE "AFTER" PICTURE!  I really Restored that rusted Fender Tag and the business card accidentally ended up in the photo.  Really!  No Lie!  I'm a respectable, independent professional OE Expert.  I'm telling the honest truth.  You gotta believe me......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWyCCJ6B2WE

Tell Kevin Marti I said "hello" even though I use the other guy.

Hi, I remember seeing in a mopar collectors guide (don't know which issue)that Galen had a few charger 500 build sheets and was looking for the owners of the cars to return them to at no charge.  You might want to look into that....

I saved those lists he printed...not sure if I missed any though...
