Hi Dan,

I bought one a couple years ago from MP.....really pricey at $175! I haven't checked their Webster yet hoping there may be other sources. :shruggy:

I think Slotts , he is a member here , and cc.com and Moparts is rebuilding them. Send him a pm . I will try to find his e- mail too.  :2thumbs:

I just got a new Classic Industries catalog in the mail the other day. I'm gonna have to replace mine soon, too (have to wiggle switch to get dash lights/parking lights working). Anyways its listed in their catalog for 39.99 (part number 2864134). I thought the price was so low it was a misprint, so I checked their website, says the same thing.

Thanks for the tips Jackie and Jaak. I just ordered one fron Classic Industries. They say they're currently out of stock. I hope they get some more in soon and that they are a quality product.
The price seems too reasonable to be true....perhaps despite the catalog picture all you get is the switch and not the vac manifold too? That would be fine with me. Hope it gets here most riki tik.

I've heard it said that if the internal circuit breaker has been tripped a few times it becomes weak and unreliable. True?

We installed one of those new $39.99 head light switch's. On the way home, his head lights were going on and off.
Took it out the next day, and it was melted inside. Took apart lubed & cleaned his original switch, still working great.

I would like to hear more feedback on these new switch's, the vacuum part alone is worth the cost.

A switch for $39.99?  Something wrong there.  :shruggy:  They normally cost around $175.00 and are guaranteed to work.
I guess in the end....you get what you pay for.

I've tried locating some for you without luck. Doesn't look like anyone's stocking them. Your best bet might be ebay.

My buddy bought a new switch for his 68 charger and it didnt work good at all. Im not sure where he bought it or what he gave for it but I wound up taking both switches apart (old one and new one) and was able to make one good switch out of both of them. The vacumm headlights are fun on these old chargers, took me a few evenings to get all the vacumm leaks found and get them to work properly. Still nothing like hideaway headlights that work on a charger!! :icon_smile_big:
