Not sure how much of a chance this has but a slim chance is better than none.

"Legislation (H.B. 4001) to repeal the requirement that all gasoline offered for sale in the state contain a percentage of ethanol will be considered by the Florida House Regulatory Affairs committee on Friday, March 22, 2013.  Currently, the Florida Renewable Fuels Standard requires that all gasoline sold or offered for sale by a terminal supplier, importer, blender or wholesaler in Florida contain 9-10 percent ethanol, or other alternative fuel, by volume."

Mine too.

We did have a gas station left around here which sold 100 percent gasoline.  Within the last year that ended.

Since I live in the middle of the corn belt there are many pushing for more ethanol.  One plant in particular is constantly running pro-ethanol ads on our local talk radio station.

One station around here has 93 octane non- ethanol. Only place we go  to get fuel.  :2thumbs:

You mean then there will be more corn available to feed the cattle and then meat prices would have to go down? Not happening, as long as Uncle Sam is telling you how much corn to consume.

What we mean is that there will be a "real" supply and demand market for fuel and the feds will not have their fingers in it to control the prices to suit which senator needs to get elected next.  :Twocents:

What about all the water it takes to make ethanol?  Could cure the drought in the mid west!!  :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I put in my daily whatever is at the pump that is non-ethanol....even if it costs me and extra .20/gal.    Just for principle.

I am about to remove and clean the six carbs on my motorcycle for the third time due to ethanol caused contamination of the idle circuit. This is not fun any more. I should have a case that would compensate me for this. Maybe only if I were part of a large group. We are on our own. So never let a carb set for long with ethonal in it.

i've never heard of ethanol clogging carbs, more likely you got crap from the bottom of your tank or water in the fuel. Ethanol's bad side effects are typically burning out valves (hotter) and adversely affecting rubber lines and corroding steel lines of the fuel system.

Alcohol breaks down and leaves a white powdery stuff in the carb.
