I finally got around to installing a heat block off valley today. What a difference, starts right up full temp. Seems to run smoother (prolly small vac leak before), sounds much better and it likes to go......very quickly now.  :icon_smile_big:

Did you go to an insulated carb spacer as well? Which one did you use if you did?

I did this mod as well, and seems to be the bees knees so far. Makes it a little harder to keep running when cold, but not something I'm gonna fret over.

Yep, felpro 1215 kit from summit racing. After masking off the mating surfaces I sprayed it with hemi orange. No phenolic spacer....running an edlebrock carb.

Thanks for the #s.  I was interested to see if you used a different mfg than Ron mentioned.  :2thumbs:

I run a 1/2 inch 4 hole phenolic spacer, Summit brand, and the block off valley pan with my Edlebrock 750.
